Style File Find of the Week: Chrisitan Siriano for Bluefly

Not wanting to look a “Tanny Hot Mess” then it’s clear you need to shop Project Runway and media darling Chrisitan Siriano’s new line. It’s exclusively available for bluefly so you know what that means discount ”Sup Holla”, my bad that’s this seasons Project Runway. Anyway there are only six items so far to choose from, I posted my personal favorites above.

P.S. That gold "Heidi" pencil skirt is FIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERCE!

Style File Find of the Week: BDG Zip Back Cardigan Sweater

photo cred: Urban Outfitters

Anyone who knows me personally has to know I love a cardigan, and anyone who reads this blog knows I kind of have a thing for “hardware” accents on clothes. So imagine my glee when I saw this little gem the BDG Zip Back Cardigan . We know this went immediately on to my lengthy Urban Outfitters wish list. This Cardi comes in black, grey and this wonderful ruby color and is a doable 58 dollars ( still fingers crossed it goes on sale soon) and of course you can get it here.

Style File Find of the Week: Paradise Punch Bandeau

Wow this little number is too cute for words! First off I can’t remember the last time I purchased a swim suit but French Connection’s Paradise Punch Bandeau is definitely inspired me to get one. Seriously I love the little booty shorts that expose just enough skin to be sexy not trashy ( plus camoflauge areas we need to work on), and of course the vibrant print would be a hit on any beach. Of course the moment I am ready to pounce on the reasonably priced 59.99 dollar bargain, I find it’s sold out in all sizes online. I however am determine and plan to make a little trip over the Bay Bridge to the French Connection on Powell Street as well as some calls to see if I can get my hands on this. If that fails I’ll make some calls, hell I got my hands on a uber popular sold old French Connection Sequin Dress last fall and had it shipped from NYC. I’ll keep you posted!

Style File Find of the Week: LaRok Patchwork Flirt Dress

photo cred: Nordstrom

Well let me start off by saying, I have a small addiction ( 3 sequined dressed, 1 sequined tank top, 1 sequined shirt, 2 pair of sequin shoes, and 1 sequined bag) to all things sequined and 2007’s sequined trend didn’t help me one bit. I for one think sequins are timeless, and of course add a little pizazz to any plain shaped frock or tee. So you can imagine what I felt when I was doing some online window shopping at Nordstrom and came across the LaROK Patchwork Flirt Dress. I swear I nearly fainted it’s so gorgeous, although I’m not sold on the empire waist ( my cup runeth over) the racer back accented by a zipper and 70’s inspired patches of sequins has me looking around for the 298 dollars to buy it. The dress is available in grey and black and you can order online, or visit the Savvy section of your local Nordstrom’s.

Style Find of the Week: Rose Top

It’s become real clear to me that I’m loving indie designer With Hearts in my Eyes whose items seem to only be available at my store of the moment Bona Drag. Well the current item I have my eye on is the Rose Top which for me a t-shirt and jeans girl is an easy way to get a cute and feminine looks without looking too frou frou. For obvious reasons (it’s basically a shirt with frills) it will pair perfectly with jeans or even a pencil skirt. What’s also great is with all With Hearts in my Eyes items; it’s made to order and is priced at $68 bucks.

Styling Alert: How great would this look accessorized with the pink 5 finger half gloves SJP wore?

Style File Find of the Week: 5 Finger Half Glove

photo cred: Patricia Field and HBO Films

This find is too good just to be categorized just as an accessory find so it made it to find of the week status. If you’re anything like me you not only watched Sex and the City the Movie opening weekend, but you wanted some of the items of clothing the actresses wore. One piece other than the flowered bomber (I’m in love with that jacket) that caught my eye is the half glove Carrie was so casually rocking throughout the film. Well they can be yours they are available at SATC costume designer Patricia Field's online store. This "glovette" is a great way to spice up any outfit anytime of the year in lieu of jewelry. Now here comes the bad news they are sold out in black and pink (white still available) but will restock in July. And stay tuned for more SATC inspired looks.

Style File Find of the Week: Eden Dress

photo cred: Bona Drag

The Eden Dress by With Hearts in My Eyes is simply gorgeous. A basic low scoop backed tank dress with some well placed hand dyed fringe equals a LBD at its best. Here’s the kicker each cotton lycra dress (stretchy stretchy) is made to order and is priced only at $134 bucks. Seriously there are mass manufactured dresses that are twice hell even three times that price and aren’t half as beautiful. This dress means scratch anything I have said about any other dress this is THE ONE! If you have fallen in love with this dress like I have you can order yours at Bona Drag.

Style File Find of the Week: Dolce Vita Lindsay Dress

I have basically been smitten by shoe company extraordinaire b.k.a Dolce Vita ventures into clothing especially some of their chic dresses. My current favorite is the Lindsay Dress. Yes, part of my economic stimulus check I suspect will be given right back to “the man” and this dress may be just the purchase. Under normal circumstances I would never spend 200 bucks on a dress, but the Lindsay dress is the classic LBD with a mod/punk twist. My favorite aspect of this piece has to be the universally flattering boat neck with the edgy zipper touch, giving you the ultimate lady-like rocker style that is sweeping through Hollywood, as well as local hoods. So if you need a little shopping stimulus in your life pick up the Lindsay Dress at shopdolcevita.com.

Style File Find of the Week: Lauren Conrad Collection’s Morgan Dress and Brooke Jumper

photo cred: Lauren Conrad.com

I can’t lie I was not the biggest fan of Lauren Conrad’s clothing collection at first. Now the tides may be changing with her Summer in the City collections a distinctly different look from her past seasons. Yes, the collections name is a sad attempt at leeching some of the name recognition from SATC the movie but hey it makes you look. My favorite pieces have to be the Morgan Dress and the Brooke Jumper. The Morgan Dress is a basic generally flattering strapless dress that can be dressed up for day or night. The Brooke Jumper on the other hand is an outfit for the adventurous. I have never in my life thought I would like what can be called a “onesie” but the Brooke Jumper just does it for me. So no matter if you’re a classic girl or a risk taker LC’s summer 08 line has something for you.

Celeb Looks :Heidi Klum by Jordace Sequin Gold Beaded Top

Ohhhh ahhhh that’s all I can say about the Heidi Klum by Jordache Sequin Gold Beaded Top (the shirt she wore on the PR Season Finale). Yes, you saw it right Heidi Klum poster chick for Jordache has her own “mini line” for the company called Heidi Klum by Jordache and this top is my favorite! Now it’s priced at $298 dollars so technically it’s a “lust must”, but I’m going to do some saving because I gotta have this top. It combines two of my 3 favorite things in the fashion world t-shirts, and sequins! As far as I know this is one of a twenty piece collection with prices ranging from $140 to $170 for jeans and $80 to $250 plus for blouses, tees, and dresses. This shirt and the rest of the line can be found exclusively at Bloomingdales.

Style File Find of the Week: The Fit Flop

Ladies, I may have found the shoe of the century The FitFlop touted to strengthen and trim the tights, calves and buttocks as well as improve your posture all just by walking around in them. Many pilates enthusiast swear by the MBT shoes that have actually been proven to do what the fitflop says yet at a much higher price point of $249.00 and up. Well the fitflop starts off at $49.00 and soon will have some really stylish alternatives to the current style, but I can’t wait so I’m going to have to head to the nearest select Bath & Body Works to pick up my pair this weekend, if that isn’t an option for you they are also available at Victoria’s Secret in the original and a patent version. Shoot me a comment if you want to know how they worked for me or how they are currently helping you!
