Lux Must: Alice + Olivia Sequin Leggings

I MUST HAVE THESE! This will be my one expensive buy of 2008. I don’t just want these, but I don’t think there is anyway I can go on living without them. Anyone who knows me, or has seen me blog on other sites know that I have sort of an “issue” (addiction) with sequins. Sequins make my eyes light up like a kid on Christmas. I first saw the sequin legging on Victoria Beckham when the Spice Girls announced their reunion. Soon after I was on the prowl for them then, but couldn’t find them for the life of me. Flash forward to 2008 and I find that not only do they have them there in a variety of place. Alexander McQueen has some at Bergdorf Goodman (out of my price range), Ralph Lauren has some at Saks ( still out of my price range), and then the pair I could have had the reasonably priced, but sold by Alice + Olivia for HSN (pictured) leggings which are over 10 times less than McQueen and Lauren’s. I’ll keep you posted if they become available.

P.S. Pay no attention to the horrible styling, it is from the HSN site you know.

Lust Must: Open Toe Slingback Platform by Castaner

Oh my how gorgeous is this shoe? Let’s start off by ignoring the fact that it’s 325 bucks, and just lust after it for a moment…….... The Open Toe Slingback Platform by Castaner is an espadrille meets stiletto meets platform meets sandal, hell it’s almost all the shoe you need in one. My favorite is of course the black partly due to it will go with anything and secondly because it’s a satin upper making even more luxurious. I’ll be on the look out for a wallet friendly alternative to this shoe and keep you posted on my findings. If your a lucky lady and have the moolah to spend you can find this shoe at Vivre.com

Lust Must: Opening Ceremony Classic Flare Coat

Since I have yet to make my way to the NYC ( a true crime of fashion) and didn’t even realize there was one in L.A. on my last trip down south means I have yet to visit the hipster mecca Opening Ceremony. Opening Ceremony is home to some of my most lust worthy picks e.g. Chloe Sevigny's capsule line. Thanks to Tobi online I can get my glimpses of some of Opening Ceremony’s own designs via their online lookbook/shop. The one item I am currently drooling over is the Classic Flare Coat. Classic is really the best word to describe this funnel necked coat, which is totally wearable for spring days and summer nights due to the fact that it’s 100% cotton. I sadly don’t have the $550 to make it mine yet, but a girl can dream!

Lust Must: Elizabeth and James Vintage Jane Dress

photo cred: revolve clothing

Say what you will about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s personal style…..bag lady, hobo, homeless chic, baby prostitute, mix matched mess, trendsetters, style icons, risk takers, hipster princesses. One new thing Iwant to add about MK and Ashley is that these two ladies know what to do as far as designing fashions for others. I have been impressed with their contemporary designer line named for their younger sister and older brother Elizabeth and James since its fall 2007 launch. The line is supposed to be their more reasonable (by Hollywood standards) price point than the higher end designer line The Row. All that being said I am currently drooling over this wonderful Vintage Knit Jane Dress which is the perfect mix of casual due to the fabric/ frills and dressed up due to the super sexy low back. Now I’m not the kind of girl that can afford to just spend $374, but I can always lust after this beautiful blue dress. If the 374 price tag is in your budget you can pick it up at Revolve Clothing orShopbop .

Lust Must:Golden Goose Charlye Pull on Boot

So you’re asking yourself why in the hell would I want a boot that looks like someone’s been running around in them for 4 years. I can’t really answer that question with much logic, I’ve just simply been dying for the perfect riding boot for about 6 months now and not one has had me return to it again and again as much as this one. I think it’s the vintage inspired feel, the hardware near the heel, the extra long shaft, and of course the distressing that has me so enamored. The boot is by Golden Goose a company created in 2000 by the Italian duo Alessandro Gallo and Francesca Rinaldo who clearly pride themselves in originality while reinventing vintage looks. Golden Goose also offers some equally impressive and less distressed looks as well as clothing. The only thing standing between me and my Charlye Pull on boots is the 1,050 price tag , but if you can afford them or like some of the other less distressed styles you can pick them up online at shopbop.com.

Lust Must: Vegan Queen Eco It Bag

photo cred: Vegan Queen

So it’s is tax refund time again, and if your lucky you should be getting a rebate check right around May and you know what that means…. SPLURGE! My suggestion for such a splurge is Vegan Queen a new movement in luxury handbags, and you don’t have to be a vegan (I’m not) to love it! I just received my EcoIt bag (pictured) a few months back, and I was pleasantly surprised by the esthetic, not just on the outside but on the inside. The inner lining was the softest cotton you have ever seen, or touched…it made we want to keep reaching in the bag all day. The bag survived all some of the bad storms in the Bay Area, thanks in part to the rubber, and PVC-free “leather”. So basically you can still be F-I-E-R-C-E, and ECO conscious. Vegan Queen gives you all the luxury of Louis Vutton, Gucci, Fendi, and none of the guilt.

Check Vegan Queen out online.
