Dare to Wear: Convertible Harem Pants

I absolutely positively hate hammer pants I mean harem pants, but this is a Dare to Wear that may make me change my stripes. The highwaisted/tube top look is adorable, and she is styled perfectly adding to the allure of the convertible harem pant going to show that “clothes don’t make the women” but obviously styling does! I have to give it to Free People you are doing an excellent job in marketing because I just may buy them. Well they are 78 bucks, so I’m definitely going to wait until they go on sale.

"High" Fashion: Studded Vintage Converse

I can’t lie I love love love the punky, funky, fashiony goodness of the Studded Vintage Converse however I hate the 168 price tag that they dare to charge. I mean there is really no way to justify the price hike a plain pair of classic chucks ( no frills) is $44.99 of course that’s way more than your parents use to pay but still a price many people are willing to pay. Back to the Studded Vintage Converse, so they are a pair of classic chucks with studding details and did I mention that I don’t even care that the studs are hand applied still doesn’t justify the price! I’m challenging all of you who like these shoes to DIY, seriously anyone at an elementary school level of intelligence could create there own.

Here’s a list of Materials needed, and the rest should be self explanatory:

Chuck Taylor All Stars -49.99 ( brand new) or relatively free ( used)
Bedazzler -19.95
Studs – price varies (around 5.95-7.95 for 100) but this place has so many in brass, copper, gunmetal, black, silver, silver faceted etc etc.

All that is still less than half the price of the ones being sold online!

Style File Find of the Week: Scottish Fringe Jacket

I love this jacket so much I want to marry it, hey I live in California I’m independent I’m sure it can be arranged?Since I started this blog in the spring you may not know this one thing about me is I love a great jacket/coat. It’s the one item I have too many of second to t shirts. What is not to love about this jacket, it’s has stripes which I love and also think is a timeless, is double breasted, has an high over sized collar which screams for attention, big bold buttons, and a slim fit. The fact that it looks like a cardigan which I also love doesn’t hurt much either. The jacket is a little pricey in my opinion at $168 but I’m probably still going to get it as soon as I have the chance. It’s available in the Black Combo only at Urban Outfitters and in two more color combos at Free People ( Red/Grey and Navy/White)
