Accessory Find of the Week: Flowers and Pendants Mulitchain Necklace

This is one of the most talked about pieces of jewelry that I have ever worn, and it’s not from some fancy upscale store, or a high end department store, but from Express. I wore this necklace this past weekend for my b-day, and it was a hit! I was drawn to this oversized, funky, on trendy, statement necklace and had to have it even though I personally thought the 59.50 price tag is a little hefty (lucky for me I had a gift certificate). The Flowers and Pendants Multichain necklace has everything that you can imagine in various pieces of jewelry, silk flowers, rhinestones, gold, silver, hematite, brass, brooches all in one spot. I also love that the clasp is adjustable so you can wear as a choker or a longer necklace. I wore it with a dress, but I can’t wait to wear it with a plain old v neck tee and some jeans for a casual night out for drinks. Happy Shopping!

Style File Find of the Week:Leather Motorcycle Jacket

If you were to even mention the words “white leather motorcycle jacket” I would probably laugh in your face, and then immediately advise you not to buy it! However Express has managed to change my mind on this with their leather motorcycle jacket. Okay so it’s not pure white, it’s off white..... ecru....crème, which automatically makes it that much more appropriate. The jacket is supple (like butter to the touch), and the soft creamy ivory color makes this jacket a perfect one for those spring and summer nights, I would of course be daring and wear it in this California winter. Now here’s the bad part, this jacket isn’t what I would call an investment piece because as wonderful as the color is, it’s just not as practical as a black/brown leather jacket. However it’s under 300 dollars and that’s not bad for a quality leather jacket, so count your pennies ladies…HAPPY SHOPPING!

I never write stories on Fridays, but I have searched far, wide, high, and low for sequin leggings at a price point that wouldn’t require me to sale my soul to the devil! Well EXPRESS heard and answered my fashion prayers with their pocket friendly sequin leggings. While they are pocket friendly, they don’t skimp on quality or the details that I have seen from high end brands, if I didn’t tell you where these were from would you really know? Next best thing is they're pretty affordable at the orginal price of $98 but now they are on sale for 59.99 but wait there’s more Express is offering Take an Additional 30% off Clearance items making them 41.99 ….a STEAL!

Odds are the average Express shopper probably has no clue who Celia Birtwell is. For those of us who know of the British textile designer and former Topshop collaborator it’s time to be excited she has decided to cross the pond with a limited collection for Express. The line is filled with paisley, dots, and flower printed flowy dresses, and Victorian inspired blouses. I’m not really into the collections dresses, but the light airy blouses will look great with some of my highwaisted-wide legged jeans I have yet to wear. The good news is this is one of four limited collections that Birtwell is set to design for the company bad news is Express does not offer online shopping and the collection is only being sold at a limited number of stores , so stock up!
