Denim of the Week: 4 Stroke Clutch Jean

photo cred: 4 stroke and Shop Intuition

I absolutely love this jeans and the only reason I don’t yet own them is because they are priced at 197 bucks so I have been left to lust after these jeans for over 2 months. The 4 Stroke Clutch Jeans are perfection the jean features a 3 pocket style (sans traditional side pockets), rounded back pockets with minimal stitching (ultra flattering) and of course the calf length back zippers. Of course it should not be surprising that such a rocking pair of jeans ( as well as a collection of others) was inspired by Rock Royalty off spring Theodora Richards ( shown wearing the clutch jean) so if you want to party like a rock star check out more of 4 strokes jeans selection here.

Denim of the Week: Lux Pin Up & Equinox Jean

photo cred: Urban Outfitters

The skinny jean is here to stay, and I’m damned happy about it! When the style first reappeared I was a little leery about it, you know I though they would make my thighs look like sausage. To my surprise they didn’t and it’s been a love affair ever since. Lux a line carried by Urban Outfitters keeps coming up with ways to keep the skinny jean look fresh by mixing it up and not just doing the basic 5 pocket look. The first of my new favorite "skinnies" are Lux’s Equinox Skinny Jean which have some great detailing in lieu of front pockets, as well as a really cute yet non functional belt loops on the front and back. The Pin Up Jean is a sexier pocket less version with its biggest twist being the tulip hem at the back of the ankle and the wonderful slimming seaming on the front and back of the legs. Both jeans are sans back pockets which means they give your booty that extra little something something! You can pick one or both pair up for $78.00 each here.

Denim of the week: Golden State Jeans

I have always gotten many complements on my Grass Brand Jeans and was surprised to find out the company now has a new affordable line called Golden State Jeans (Grass Jeans pictured). Of course I’m a California girl so I’m a little partial to the new line, but there is the fact that Grass Jeans range from $160-176 Golden State Jeans are an affordable $58.00. The bummer is they currently only have two styles available the “Santa Monica” (pictured) and “Malibu” in very limited sizes. With similar styling, and equally impressive organic fabrics to the higher end brand I would say try your luck with Golden State jeans, I know I am.

BTW- Golden State is an Organic Denim brand HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Denim of the Week: Joe's Muse Jeans

Muse: a source of inspiration; especially: a guiding genius, or a state of deep thought or dreamy abstraction. Well once you wear Joe’s Muse Jeans you will be a muse to some lucky guy and have your friends marveling at how great you look in them. I can't think of a woman who wouldn't look fantastic and slimmer in this style. This jean has a higher waist but, not the trendy super high waist so don’t be afraid it also boast a wider fit from throughout the leg and of course lycra for stretch in all the right places. Slip these on with a tee shirt ( my favorite) or a gorgeous blouse, and you will be the goddess that inspires these jeans. Joe’s jeans doesn’t currently have its own website but one is coming soon until then you can purchase them at Pink Mascara, Anthropologie, shopbop, and Nordstrom’s.

Denim of the Week: Cheap Monday V Fit

What can I say about Cheap Monday Jeans other than I love them! This Swedish brand lives up to part of its name being cheap and yes I consider 65 dollars cheap for a spectacular “designer” brand! One big warning these jeans are some of the skinniest of the skinny (this trend is going nowhere) and going one size up is a MUST. I currently own 3 pairs myself, and I’m obsessing about the new V-Fit Jean, which also gets the high waist trend into the mix. The angled placement of the front pocket on the V-Fit style is unique and will have people asking you where you to them or at least giving you a double take. Place these jeans with a simple white v neck t shirt and cute pair of heels and you’re ready for a night on the town!
Note: I‘ve only seen this style at Urban Outfitters.
