Breaking Fashion News: Project Runway to Lifetime On Hold

Oh my goodness the future of project runway is in peril! So everyone knows by know that The Weinstein Co. decided to move Project Runway from Bravo (owned by NBC Universal) to the Lifetime network, and of course NBC Universal decided to get litigious! On Friday the judge informed the Weinstein Co. that it can’t take Project Runway or any spin off to the Lifetime network so take that Meredith Baxter ahahah! This change in events obviously puts the January Lifetime premiere of the show on hold. Both parties are due back in court on October 15th; I’ll make sure to keep you posted. Auf Wiedersehen

Breaking Fashion News: Project Runway Says Auf Wiedersehen Bravo

Yes, you’ve heard some of the rumors yesterday and they are true Project runway is “auf’ing” Bravo and heading to the home of the "Not without My Daughter"/ "Burning Bed" Marathon’s Lifetime! How in the hell this has happened no one knows but one place you can check out is Project Rungay for updated information. The new deal ( with the devil) would mean that Season 5 would air this year on Bravo and Season 6 would start in November on Lifetime ( yes two season in one year) as well as the possibilities of PR spin offs. I'm sure that this is strictly a business/money/power move on the part of the Weinstein Group but, how un-fierce is it that such a stylish, fashion forward, innovative T.V. phenomenon like Project Runway gets to Lifetime television which holds a demographic very different than that of Bravo which was home to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and now home to Make Me a Supermodel, Millionaire Matchmaker, Workout, and Sheer Genius. Bravo’s parent company NBC Universal isn’t taking this lying down they are planning to get litigious with it!
