Shoe Find of the Week: 80%20 Georgie Shoe

I told you I would give you another sneak peek form 80%20’s Spring 09 collection. If you thought the Sadie Wedge was cute well you’re going to love the Georgie shoe. Think part bootie, part sandal which equals the best of both worlds. The Georgie as well as every other shoe in the Spring 09 collection comes in wonderful colors which includes coral, purple as well as black and crème in leather. This conversation starting shoe will look great with jeans/ skirts/ dresses. This shoe won’t be available until late February, which is basically next week…I’ll keep you posted. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Shoe find of the Week: 80%20 Sadie Wedge

Spring is in the air, even if it’s supposed to rain this weekend! Nothing says Spring like a corked wedge shoe; however one of my favorite shoe designers 80%20 has done an update yet retro twist on a classic! The wonderful “Sadie” wedge comes in some fun spring colors like coral, yellow, seafoam, eggplant and of course my favorite Navy which I plan on wearing with jeans and skirts a like! 80%20 describes the shoe as "MILF shoe, hot mom in the 70s inspired: which of course makes me laugh, and makes me want them even more. I’m no MILF (heck I’m not even a mom yet), but I plan on wearing them anyway. I guess you should try them out too so throw out those old ked and those preppy top siders and slip your foot into the “Sadie Cork Wedge” you just have to wait until the end of February they are available yet!

P.S. The sneak peak for these or the rest of the Spring 09 aren’t even on the 80%20 site yet, I’ll post another one of my favorite shoes next week!

Knock it Off: 80%20 Vs. Aldo

Remember the company 80%20 I told you about a while back? You know the ones whose design theory was we tend to wear the favorite 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time. Well it looks like Aldo has stolen 100% of 80%20’s look with its Schacht boot. I usually think knockoffs are funny, and even sometimes flattering. However this one is just too much. Since I have first come in contact with the 80%20 line ( long before my first post about them) the chunky hidden wedge has been a the heart of the lines designs and for Aldo to blatantly rip it off along with the rest of the boot is kinda over the top. Not to mention that Aldo didn’t knock off these shoes to make them ridiculously affordable to the masses because they originally retailed for $130.00 (now 89.90 on sale) which is only $58.00 dollars cheaper than the 80%20 original. What's even a little more crazy is Amazon actually sales the original boot by 80%20, as well as the knock off from Aldo. All I have to say to Aldo is KNOCK IT OFF! Shoe find of the Week:80%20 Jackie and Dani Boot

80%20 Fall08 Boots by bastylefilegirl

There are only three questions to ask when looking at these boots:
Why don’t I have these already?
Would it be bad if I got these in multiple colors?
What am I going to have to “sacrifice” to get these?

I have always liked 80%20's shoes especially the hidden wedge sneaker and it’s super casual style, but I was shocked when I saw these patent leather/leather boots in the lines classic casual style. There is something a little more dressed up about these though, yet they are still funky and eclectic. Both the Jackie Hidden Wedge Boot and Dani Hidden Wedge Boot (shorter ones), fit into the concept behind 80%20 which is we tend to wear the favorite 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time, well I can see 80% of my time in either of these boots. They are available for at revolveclothing.com, and zappos.com.
