Shoptalk: YoungBlood Timepieces

I have to say when I was reading the Contra Costa Times article about YoungBlood Timepieces a couple of weeks ago I was a little ashamed to find out about a wonderful company that is literally in my back yard via an article in the business section of a newspaper. YoungBlood Timepieces although it is nestled right near me in the heart of Oakland, CA is far from a "backyard" company it is a legitimate producer of fine timepieces that was founded by Paul YoungBlood the companies designer (hence the name) and Patrick Martin the companies CEO. What I love about the companies view is that it is culturally attuned to the Hispanic, African American, and Asian markets (a.k.a the Urban Consumer) whose consumer dollars are strong yet they're the least represented group in the fashion world. All that being said there is nothing lacking in style and design or I wouldn't be talking about it. First off unlike many items I feature here YoungBlood timepieces aren't just for the ladies but are for the gentlemen as well ( great Xmas present); as a matter of fact my favorite piece from the YoungBlood collection just happens to be a mans watch (top picture). Now lets get down to the fun stuff, the company is so fly literally each timepiece is identified by an airport code i.e. OAK, SFO. Each piece is also crafted with the workmanship you come to expect from the “big names” in the timepiece industry the watches include details such as stainless steel, mineral glass, Arabi /pearl dial, fashion forward design, and much more. If you would like to have your very own YoungBlood Timepiece you can check them out online at ybtimepieces.com or stop by Macy’s where they just launched 2 weekends ago!

P.S. Yes that is John Legend, and Will Smith wearing and supporting YoungBlood Timepieces!
