I know some of you beauty mavens have long been dedicated to Lipstick Queen products, while the rest of you are wondering about this hip, chic, indie-vibed beauty house. Lipstick Queen was founded by Poppy King in her Melbourne Australia home in 1992 fueled by an “obsession” for formulations and colors that weren't available from other makeup brands. The cruelty free brand features only lip oriented products which in my opinion makes Lipstick Queen special. There is an array of textures and pigments to choose from. Oxymoron (pictured) is a matte gloss a formulation like I have never seen( you just have to try it)! There is also one of my favorites Saint Lipstick (pictured), a sheer lip color that's not too glossy and it gives you just the right amount of color for day or a really relaxed night, the wine color is similar to Club Monaco's infamous and discontinued Glaze Lipstick. Next up is Sinner Lipstick an opaque matte finished lip color which is perfect for you ladies that like a powerful non glossy lip and should become one of my winter time staples. Last but not least is my favorite Shine a throwback style lipgloss that’s long lasting, extra thick, shimmery, and gives you full on look at my powerful pucker lips. I’m proud to say I’m officially a Lipstick Queen, if you would like to become one you can pick up any of the products mention at Barneys New York ( there is a SF Location) or online at Lipstick Queen.com.
Stay tuned, an interview with the creative genius behind the Lipstick Queen brand Poppy King will be feature in a future post.

I really love the Oxymoron in Honest Politician. When you apply it you will notice how it totally feels like your lips are naked and weightless! And the color is great!
I love Lipstick Queen!
I just tried out their new product Shine.
Opal is amazing!
My fav Oxymoron is in Free Ride.
It's the one item I carry with me wherever I go.
