You remember it the Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton scandal, what you may also remember is the Monica Lewinsky interview with Barbra Walters. Many Americans watched that interview, and a lot of women (and men) couldn't keep their eyes off Monica Lewinsky’s dewy fresh lips. The lipstick which the world found out was Club Monaco’s Glaze became infamous. I remember it vividly because I was working at Club Monaco in San Francisco at the time, and all the girls that worked there had to horde there own stash of the color before it sold out around the world. Unfortunately Club Monaco no longer has a cosmetics line, and Glaze lipstick is a distant memory unless you are willing to take your chances and purchase 10 year old makeup on eBay (gross). Well ladies you're in luck I have found a color that is so similar to Club Monaco’s Glaze, Laura Mercier's stick gloss in Black Orchid ( not the color pictured). This particular formulation gives you a sheer color, with minimal glossiness, and of course that Lewinsky dewy-fresh look. You can purchase it in store at select Sephora’s or at Laura Mercier online for the price tag of $20.00.
